Southwest Minnesota Dairy Profit Group:

The Dairy Diagnostics Program is designed for dairy farmers to analyze their system to improve profitability in cooperation with their professional farm diagnostic team.

The program is highly flexible and available to all dairy producers regardless of operation size, production, age, etc. Producers that typically benefit from the program are those who are open to change and have a sincere desire to stay in the dairy industry.

PrograM OBJECTIVES:

The Southwest MN Dairy Profit Group will:

  • Help you organize a team of agricultural experts to evaluate your dairy operation
  • Arrange meetings with your personal diagnostics team
  • Help you identify areas of improvement and make suggestions to increase profitability
  • Utilize Farm Business Management to analyze your current financial progress
  • Provide follow up meetings to monitor progress and profitability

Rock, Nobles, Jackson, Martin, Faribault, Pipestone, Murray, Cottonwood, Watonwan, Blue Earth, Lincoln, Lyon, Redwood, Brown, Yellow Medicine, and Lac Qui Parle


PROGRAM COST:

The cost to establish a team is $200. Additional program funding is provided by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.

Annual scholarships in the amount of $400 are also available to provide funding for improvements suggested by the diagnostic team.
